In all cases self evaluation is very important in all stages, when you are in your country before landing, when you are in Canada searching for a job or even when you are working.

It is not easy to get a job so my advice is, don’t start sending your resume unless you are prepared.

Why? Because when you send your resume and nobody reply you, you will get depressed and you will lose chance of sending to these companies again when you get more ready. Then what to do?

Searching for job

Do not hesitate to take the immigration courses for adaptation first. They show you lots of things one of these things is CV canadian standard, how to approch employers in Canada and how to pass the interview. This is the one I went to http://www.cjeo.qc.ca/ .

List of carrefour jeunesse emploi in Montreal:
http://www.google.ca/search?q=carrefour+jeunesse+emploi+montreal&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rlz=1R1GGGL_en___CA321&client=firefox-a

After that you need to make a study for the market and know what words you use to put on your CV and what posts do you apply for.

Believe me, It will not work if you have a title in your mind and start searching for posts with these titles. Best thing to do is a market study.

Market study:

Visist these sites and even subscribe in their mailing list

http://www.grenier.qc.ca/

www.infopressejobs.com

http://ca.indeed.com/

http://jobbank.gc.ca/Search_en.aspx

http://www.jobboom.com

http://www.workopolis.com/work.aspx?action=Transfer&View=Content/JobSeeker/JobSearchView〈=EN&OldUrl=

http://jobs-emplois.gc.ca/menu/home_e.htm

https://psjobs-emploisfp.psc-cfp.gc.ca/psr/applicant/applicant.helpcareerchoices?toggleLanguage=en&psrsMode=1

http://cbc.radio-canada.ca/jobs/current.shtml

Then search and PRINT all job descriptions of posts that fit you field. For example I am a web designer. I printed all posts related to web, internet, design, and development.

I ended up with about 400 A4 papers with lots of titles and job descriptions.. uhuuuuuuuuuu

Then classify them in categories and started studying the description of each job and the job requirement.

Because you are a new comer from me, and probably from Egypt, you will start sending to posts that require a university degree or same level of your work in your country. So for you I say, No No Noooo

They won’t consider your because your education is not from your universities and you have zero previous experience in Canada.

So the smart thing is to start with the jobs that require college degree or high school but same in your field.

Even if your work need equivalence, you can search for assistant, technician…

Again, don’t focus only on the same position you had in your country. Just do your best to find something in your domain of work and not far from it.

My advice also to you is to now start working junk. That’s because if you started junk work, you may continue in it for long and forget your career and your future. I know a friend who did that and now he got used to it and can’t go outside this loop.

Make it this your duaa and prayer when you search.. “Allah help me finding a job in my domain of work”

For each post you send, you will need to open your CV and modify it to fit the job to include the same words that you find in the job vacancy you send to.

I remember one time,
I changed my titles in my previous job descriptions to match it!
That was not wrong to change my title and position because in my country I do the same job but with a different name so nothing wrong with that.

I also made bold some words in the CV to catch the attention of the reader and that’s it.

Then wait for them to call you and guess what?

YOU GOT THE JOBBBBB

10000 mabrouk we 3o2ba 3andokom
